Six cabbage plants planted in October in John's tiny garden did indeed grow to harvestable size... yum-yum.
The Cabbage White butterflies enjoyed them too, but only the ones that bathed in the early morning sun. This one benefits from the evening sun and lurked below butterfly radar.
Maybe the Cabbage Whites fluttering in the neighbourhood are from 'our' caterpilars. Happy to help...

We just planted some Purple sprouting broccoli - here's hoping our flutterby friends don't notice
